The organisers of TBDO were delighted to be able to promote the event after a two year enforced lay off. The St Anne/St John’s CC partnership worked extremely well again. The event is an essential source of income for both for organisations with the Parish Hall being the beneficiary for St Anne’s.
Every Church and Cricket Club stall donates all profits made to TBDO. All the helpers from both organisations volunteer all their time leading up to the day, on the day and then all the tidying up getting everything back to it’s rightful home after the event.
People kindly sponsor bands, barrels of beer and many activities, stock etc. Commercial stalls pay for their pitches. All this and a touch of good weather and huge crowds on the day ensured another successful day. St Anne’s will benefit to the tune of £8,500 this year.
So a massive thank you to all who contributed in some way or other. We’ll be doing it all again on the first Sunday in July 2023. Any early ideas or volunteers welcome.
