There were so many highlights, helped by ideal weather which brought people out by the thousands. They stayed for the whole day and it was a raving success!

The day had a wonderfully relaxed and cheerful feeling and it seemed like every family from Tottington had turned out. The children had lots to do in their children’s corner and loads of fun on the great big blow up slide, teacup merry-go-round and trampolines.

There was plenty for the adults though, with all six bands going down a storm. Many people danced the whole afternoon away!
Altogether the atmosphere was great, and we owe an enormous thanks to the excellent organisation and hard work of both the Church and the Cricket Club. The partnership was excellent and could not have happened without the club opening up to the 14,000 feet trampling all over their grounds, plus their host of volunteers.

It was a long day and lots of hard work for the helpers, which just goes to show what a brilliant job our volunteers actually do.

The bar and food stalls were manned by St Anne’s and their army of volunteers. Friends and family very generously also gave their time and hard work alongside us.

In addition there were Tombolas run by Mothers Union and Sunday School, 25 other stalls being run by their own professionals, second hand book stalls, soft drinks and sweet stalls, with the church and cricket club’s management helping it all go very smoothly.

Here are some of the gobsmackng statistics!

Over 7,000 people attended
They drank:
1,650 pints of draught beer
2,000 cans of beer
54 litres of wine.
Not forgetting –
100’s of glasses of Pimms

They ate:
Everything!
The BBQ stall, The Picnic Basket and the Crepes stall all sold out.
Over 2,000 ‘meals’ were sold in total.

Thank you everyone for such a fabulous event
