The dedication of the memorial acknowledging the life of Neville Foote and all Veterans of this parish up to current times took place on 2nd October. It is lodged on the south side of Church. It is made from Balmoral granite and incorporates in porcelain representations of Neville’s regimental hat badge of the Scottish Horse and his Legion d’Honeur. An intertwining of the English Rose and Scottish Thistle also figures in the memorial plaque that was designed by Glyn Roberts and produced and installed by Rawson and Son, Monumental Masons of Bury. Many thanks to all those who contributed in funding the memorial from different parts of this country and from the USA.
