Alison opened the meeting and welcomed our newly enrolled members and also some new ladies, before we were served our Pie and Peas, which were delicious. She then showed us twenty slides of members and told us three things about each person. The challenge was to match the clues to the picture. It was great fun, and we had to wait till the end of the meeting to find out if we were right.

Irene was delighted to be presented with flowers from Mavis on our behalf, to thank her for all her years of visiting the sick. We have five indoor members and some other members who often can’t get to meetings. If anyone wants to volunteer to visit once a month it would be very much appreciated.

Isobel and Margaret would like to remind everyone about the evening trip out to the Spread Eagle at Sawley on 14th June. They’ll need to know at the April meeting if you’re coming, and they’ll need the payment of £35-40 for the coach and the meal at the May meeting please. At the end of the meeting we were served tea and cakes while Alison read out the correct answers for the pictures and clues. A lovely evening was had by all.
